With the Philadelphia Eagles tying the Cincinnati Bengals last sunday all hopes of the playoffs have disappeared for the Eagles. Finally, fans are coming around that head coach Andy Reid’s philosophy is not working anymore.
Many fans have been turning on the Eagles head coach. Even his most staunchest supporter in former Eagle Via Sikahema has turned on him.
Eagle fans need to step back from the ledge, and calm down. Yes, they do not have a top wide receiver, but they are in the position they are for several reasons.
First, running back Brian Wesbrook did not play in a close loss to the Chicago Bears. Westbrook is by far their biggest weapon, and when he is out it hurts the offense significantly.
Secondly, the Eagles are in one of the toughest divisions in the National Football League. If the Eagles were in a division other than the NFC East they would most likely be leading the division.
Finally, the Eagles are getting older. McNabb is 31, Westbrook is 29, and several key starters are getting up in age in offensive tackles William Thomas, Jon Runyan, and free safety Brian Dawkins.
Simply, the Eagles this offseason need to go out, and find a veteran wide receiver that will help the team. Once they do that they will contend again.

I want to start off by saying that I’m not much of a writer, I haven’t written an ACTUAL article on YouCastr until now. That being said, if I misuse puncuation, misspell some words or if I don’t properly space out my paragraphs don’t tell me, I don’t give a shit! I am writing for fun, I want to share some opinions, it is not my goal to do this professionally, I am considering myself an extremely amature sports personality, nothing more. This will be a series of 10 articles talking about ten things I hate in the sports world (in no particular order). Now that I got my mini rant out of the way let’s get to the real rant.
Ten Things I hate in the Sports World Number 10
10. *Fans of the New England Patriots: *Wow, I must be a hater, huh? Yep, absolutely right, I will explain why I hate of this group of fans.
New England Patriots: I f’ing hate the Pats! First of all I must say that I am a Raider’s fan and the “Tuck Rule” is still one of the most frustrating things in the history of the world. That is really besides the point though, when I look at the two main poster children for the Pats, Tom Brady and Bill Bellicheck, I see a couple of a-holes who got away with everything their entire lives, they probably still pick on nerdy acne ridden teenagers, cheat on their girls, get drunk on Wednesday nights and smoke pot out of a giant bong shaped like a pair of tits. When I hear from their fans I see the same smugness, bravado and cockiness.
It seems to me that nearly every conversation I have had with a Pats’ fan after a win is all about how great they are, how much of a genius Coach Hoody is and what a great organization they are fans of. That’s not even why I hate them though, the real hatred comes through when talking to a Pat’s fan after a loss…....... They show the same brazen assholiness that they do when they win. THEN they bitch about how bad the Pats’ got screwed!! After the Pats lost to the Jets last Thursday, I literally had a Pats’ fan tell me that the overtime rules need to be changed because the Pats’ should never have to lose a game that way. Piss off Pats’ fans, I officially hate you! I hope the Dolphins and the Jets make the playoffs and you bastards get to make up some more excuses as to why you didn’t make it in.
DISCLAIMER: The preceding statment does not apply to all Pats’ fans, just 99.999% of them. Thanks….

The Buffal Bills suffered a heart breaking loss to the Cleveland Browns on Monday Nite Football. Many people today, especially the media, is putting the blame squarely on the shouldes on quarterback Trent Edwards, but when at second glance it fall squarely on the shoulders of the coaches.
Many people are looking to the Bills play calling on the last possession as the ultimate reason why the Bills lost the game. However, it was play calling that caused the turnovers in the first place.
I must say first that I am not excusing the play of Trent Edwards. The decision he made on the pass to James Hardy was bad. Also, he played not to cause another mistake that would cost them the game.
However, the play calling early in the game on two particular plays was horrible.
First, the opening play of the game was just terrible. All week long everyone in the world of football knew that the Bills had to do one thing when the game started, and that was run the ball.
Instead, offensive coordinator Turk Schonert decided on a pass. That was just plain stupidity. At that point in the game you have not run the ball well, and the opening play is a tone setter for the rest of the game. They needed to come out and just punch the Browns right in the face with a run.
Secondly, the third interception was a horrible play call. What people are forgeting is that the third interception was on the third down and one, which Schonert called a play out of a Shotgun formation, with no back in the back field.
That should get Schonert fired right there. If Schonert did have not had his head up his rear, and try to be cute like always, the Bills would have ran the ball. Thus, Edwards would have never thrown his third interception, and would have played differently.
That was one of the worst calls I have ever seen by a Bills coordinator. Marshawn Lynch the previous two plays ran the ball for a total of nine yards.
Good team on third down and one do not get cute. However, this offensive coordinator has a tendacy to do that.
Even after the third interception the play calling was horrible. Edwards was scared, and not throwing the ball down the field. Then, it is a coaches job to adjust, and put Edwars in a better position to succeed.
What Schonert should have done after that is run three step drops to get the wide receivers involved. Then, when they run five step drops take out the swing pass to force Edwards to throw it down the field, and play action passes usually do just that.
Many people will also say that the Patriots are one dimensional, and people know what they are doing as well.
However they have three key weapons in wide recievers Randy Moss, Wes Welker, and tight end Ben Watson. Eventually, one will get open, and the Bills simply do not have the skill players to do this, which Schonert does as well.
Edwards will take the blame, which he deserves for the pass to Hardy. However, Schonert deserves just as much for in incompetent calling on third down.

A great finish to a somewhat exciting game, but the same old story for the Bills. Last nights matchup was a battle between the two most downtrodden franchises in the NFL. I really feel for Bills fans though, how rough. Wide right ended your first Super Bowl hopes and last night it ended your playoff hopes. So what happened last night? Trent Edwards simply came out and blew it, throwing picks left and right. But was it really his fault? There were some dumb play calls like Jauron calling screen passes like Andy Reid calls runs on 4th and Short. However most of those passes to Lynch were actually check downs. Edwards was nervous. Monday Night Football, do or die-season changing game, and don’t forget how creepy it must be having Dick Jauron screaming down your throat. Trent Edwards has a good career ahead of him, but that oline needs to get it together and give him a chance to throw. If the line cant protect and get Lynch out of the backfield, it wont matter how good Trent Edward becomes.
For the Browns lucky win but I hate to break it to you, your team peaked in the Jim Brown era. The dogpound deserves their battered franchise. You guys are bad fans. Throwing batteries at players, and booing Lebron last night for not getting you free tacos. Come on. I guess its kind of acceptable since you have to live in Ohio. But you got the win, and you have a budding star in Brady. Last and not least I would like to send out a good luck to Braylon Edwards and his pursuit for the record of most dropped balls in a season, Go Get Em!!!

Spencer Larsen is a football player. Not a fullback or a tightend or a middle linebacker but a football player. He enjoys splitting olineman, tearin up the backfield, layin out return man and long walks on the beach. Spencer Larsen is a beast, perhaps a young Urlacher? maybe Larry Czonka-esque? Either one I’m glad to see him in orange and blue. Big things are gonna be happening for this guy and saving our defense is the first.
So if you haven’t heard yet Spencer Larsen is the first NFL player to play both sides of the ball as he started at both fullback and middle linebacker. He was quoted by the Denver Post, “I know my job,” Larsen said. “I was out there to run into people.” And that was what he did, enough said.

Cleveland Browns:
The Cleveland Browns (3-6) play tonight on Monday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills (5-4). Brady Quinn (BRADY! BRADY! BRADY!) makes his 2nd career start tonight against a Bills defense ranked 13th. The Browns have had 11 days to prepare for this game so hopefully we will play like we did on our last Monday Night Game against the Giants. that Giants game just proves how much potential this team has. But potential only gets you so far, and then you have to work, and that is what this Browns team lacks. The Browns have dropped their past 2 games because their defense can not stop anybody, especially in the 4th quarter. They have been outscored 38-7 in the past two 4th quarters! Not acceptable. Let’s face it, the season is out of reach, so now is the time to star finding out who is hurting the team, and who can be beneficial to the future.
On a brighter note…
Cleveland Cavaliers:
The Cavs are firing on all cylinders right now. They are 8-2 and on a 7 game winnig streak. They are dominating 4th quarters which championship teams do. LeBron James is playing like the game’s greatest player and the Cavs are winning. Mo Williams is doing what he should be. He is scoring, not as much as last year but it doesn’t matter when LBJ is on your team. Delonte West is hitting everything. Ben Wallace is playing like the Ben Wallace from Detroit. Z is Z. Consistent scoring Z. Anderson Varejao is FINALLY playing his role and it is tremendously impacting this team. “Boobie” is stepping up and making plays and not forcing anything. Need I go on with these compliments? The point is that everyting is going right with the Cavs right now. They are a fun team to watch and it is great to actually watch an offense. Not just LeBron vs. 5. Big game against the Pistons coming up on Wednesday battling for top spot in the division.
Cleveland Indians:
Not much from the Indians fron considering it is the off-season but some great news…Cliff Lee won the AL Cy Young Award! Congratulations Cliff. A lot of rumors going on with the Indians and possible free agents and trades but we never know what is credible information and what is not.
THE Ohio State Buckeyes:
The Buckeyes defeated Illinois last Saturday 30-20 avenging last years dissapionting loss to the Illini. Chris “Beanie” Wells rushed for 143 yards and 1 TD. QB Terelle Pryor also rushed for over 100 yards with 110 and 1 rushing TD. He also threw for a TD. Malcom Jenkins also had a safety in the solid win by the Buckeyes as they stay in the race for the Big Ten Title.
Akron Zips:
The Zips lost a tough 4-OT game to the Buffalo Bulls in the last game at the Rubber Bowl. This put the Bulls in the top spot in the MAC East division. Although Akron is not nearly out of the race for the MAC Championship, this was an important game and a crucial setback for the Zips. On the basketabll side of things, in the season opener for the Zips they defeated Canisius 56-46. A young Zips team had a little more trouble with a not-very-good Canisius team. Some outstanding news from the Zips recruiting front, the Zips have signed highly touted recruit Zeke Marshall oout of McKesseport High School (PA). He was given a 91 rating by Scouts Inc. from ESPN, he is also the 7th best cneter out of his recruiting class and the 68th best overall player. This is a great signing for the Akron Zips program.
That is all for now. I might start doing a radio show but if not, I will stick with this column. See ya. CLEVELAND ROCKS!!!

The Buffalo Bills are in the midst of a three game skid that has wound them up at the bottom of the AFC East. At this point in the season a lose to the Cleveland Browns would pretty much put them out of playoff contention.
The Bills must win no doubt about it. The question is can they get the job done considering how their offensive, and defensive lines are playing.
The key to the game for the offense will be to control Browns defensive tackle Shaun Rodgers. Rodgers is second on the team in tackles with 47, and leads the team in sacks, which is four.
What will happen if the Bills cannot control Rodgers? The same as the last two weeks, which is no running game, and Bills quarterback Trent Edwards being forced into turnovers.
Defensively, the Bills have to shut down the running game of the Browns. Right now the running game is not going very well, but with quarterback Brady Quinn being the starter now they will surely rely on it to take the pressure off the kid.
In regards to the passing game they cannot let tight end Kellen Winslow get loose. Winslow leads the team in receptions, with 36 for 362 yards receiving, and three touchdowns.
Also, the Bills must confuse Quinn, with complex schemes, and putting pressure on him. Getting pressure on Quinn will not be easy with pro bowl guard Eric Steinbach, and tackle Joe Thomas leading the way, so defensive coordinator Perry Fewell will need to be creative.
The team that can execute its keys will win the game.

The Minnesota Vikings loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has most likely knocked them out of the playoffs. The most disturbing news to come out of the game is that all four starting defensive lineman could be suspended.
The final act came in Sundays game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, when defensive end Ray Edwards hit Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia way after he threw the ball.
The troubling thing is that defensive tackles Pat and Kevin Williams face suspension for violation of the substanc abuse policy. Also, defensive end Jared Allen is facing suspension for a series of illegal hits on quarterbacks.
So, what does the latest hit show? It shows that Childress has no control over his lockeroom.
Any coach after hearing that their star defensive end is facing a possible suspension for illegal hits would rip a new one into his team. Then tell them that anyone takes any undisciplined penalties for illegal hits will have to face serious consequences.
Also, if that is not enough Childress will be highly questioned for a fourth down call, which was a pass. Especially, when you have a hot running back in Adrian Peterson, who was also had an average of over four yards a carry for the game.
In the end Vikings owner Zigy Wilf should give Childress his walking papers.

Last summer, I was so high on Jack Ikegwuonu. The corner from Wisconsin had the chance to be an Nmandi-type man to man corner. He was at the top of his game when he blew up his knee causing him to miss his whole senior season. He fell in the draft because of his injury, and an incident involving him and a stolen Xbox. It was 2007, Couldn’t you at least steal a 360?
Anyway, he was taken in the fourth round by the Eagles. We hadn’t heard his name because he’s been on the PUP list. Until now, where someone in his family posted a picture of him on facebook sitting at a table with a Bong and Coccaine. Here’s the link to the picture, courtesy of ProFootballTalk.com.
Come on. Really? How dumb are we here? Who puts pictures of NFL players on Facebook? Who puts pictures of Bongs and Coke on facebook? How dumb are we? I’m outraged. Not just at Jack, but at his family for their stupidity. The family member since said that she Photoshopped the picture. I work with graphic designer who are photoshop pros, and they say it would be damn near impossible to do without serious formal training.
Jack, even if you pass a drug test, you’ll probably get fined due to “behavior.” Then, you may be suspended. If you stay on the field and out of Rodger Goodell’s penalty box, you could the next great Eagles corner. Don’t mess this up anyone worse than you already have.
